Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 13, 2026

RoLivo is built to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, so there's no email address, password, or profile tied to you. This page explains exactly what does pass through the service.

What you provide

When you join, you choose a nickname, a gender, and a country. These are shown to other people currently in the chat — that's the whole point of them. They are held in your browser's session storage (cleared when the tab closes) and, while you're connected, in the chat server's memory. Nothing is written to a database.

Messages

Public and private messages are relayed live between connected users and are not stored beyond that — there is no chat history and no message log. If the server restarts, or you close your tab, messages are gone.

Technical data

Like any web service, the server briefly processes your IP address as part of handling your connection — specifically to apply rate-limits that stop spam and abuse. It is not stored alongside your nickname or messages, and it is not shared with anyone. Our hosting providers (for the web app and the realtime server) may keep their own standard, short-lived infrastructure logs as part of operating the service.

Advertising

RoLivo is designed to run ads (via Google AdSense) to support hosting costs. When ads are active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's own policy. That data collection is Google's, governed by their policies, not something RoLivo itself stores.

Children

RoLivo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
