No. Pick a nickname, gender, and country and you're in the room. There's no email, no password, and nothing saved beyond your current browser tab.

Is my chat history saved anywhere?

There is no archive and nothing is written to disk. The server does hold the last 50 messages of a room or conversation in memory, so a reload or a dropped connection does not wipe the chat you are in the middle of — that buffer is discarded when the conversation goes idle or the server restarts. Nobody, including us, can pull up a conversation afterwards.

Is RoLivo really anonymous?

To other users, yes: they see the nickname, gender, age and country you chose, and nothing else. The server itself processes your IP address to apply rate limits and enforce bans, and if someone reports you it records that IP with the report for 30 days. Open the options menu next to their name in the sidebar. Report sends it to a real moderation queue; Block hides them from your view immediately. Both take one click, no explanation required.

Every message passes through a profanity filter and a per-person rate limit before anyone sees it, and reports go to an actual moderation queue — not a mailbox nobody checks.

No. RoLivo is 18+, and the age minimum is enforced when you join and again on the server. Like any anonymous platform there is no identity verification, so if you believe someone is a minor, report them — it is one of the reasons you can pick when reporting, and it reaches a moderator with their recent messages attached.

Everyone is disconnected and the in-memory message buffer clears. Nothing was written to disk, so there is nothing to lose except the conversation happening at that moment. Bans and open reports are the one thing intended to survive a restart.

It runs ads through Google AdSense to cover the cost of hosting the site and the chat server. The ad script only loads if you accept it in the cookie banner; decline and the chat works exactly the same, with no ad cookies set. There is no paid tier and no plan to add one.

What's the difference between Block and Report?

Block is for you: it immediately hides that person from your view and stops their DMs and typing signals reaching you, in both directions, and it survives either side reconnecting. Report is for the moderators: it sends the person's recent messages, nickname, and IP to a queue a human reads, and three independent reports against the same IP trigger an automatic ban. Use Block to make someone go away; use Report when a moderator should see it.

Can other people see my location?

Other users see the country you picked in your profile and nothing more precise — no city, no IP, no map. RoLivo never asks for GPS or device location. Your IP is processed by the server for rate limiting and bans but is never shown to anyone in the chat.

Are there rules about nicknames?

A nickname has to be unique among people currently online — if it's taken, you'll be asked for another — and it's length-limited and filtered for slurs and obvious abuse. Nicknames aren't reserved: when you leave, yours frees up for someone else.

What languages is RoLivo available in?

The chat interface is available in English and French, with a toggle in the chat header, and there are dedicated landing pages in French and Arabic. The chat itself doesn't translate messages — you and the other person settle on a shared language between you.

There is no account, no email, and no profile to trace back to you, and the messages themselves are never written to disk. Your IP address is processed for rate limiting and bans, and is retained only if you are reported or banned. Anything you type or share yourself — a real name, a phone number, a photo — is on you to withhold if you want to stay anonymous. And no platform can stop the other person screenshotting the conversation.
